In the Know question:
Where in London can I buy genuine Scandinavian furniture, ceramics and glass at reasonable prices?
Wherever you are staying in London, you are within easy reach of clean, modern Scandinavian design – from furniture to lighting to tableware. Skandium has branches in Marylebone and Brompton, as well as a concession within Selfridges.
For retro and second-hand pieces, head to Alfie’s Antique Market on Church Street, Marylebone. Here, a series of small, but perfectly stocked, high-end shops sell some of the best minimalist furniture and glass around. Lorna Lee Leslie's concession is one of the finer stockists of 20th-century interiors, design and decoratives.
While Emilia Porto on the ground floor never disappoints – Danish lamps are a speciality. Opening times are Tues-Sun, 10am-6pm.

Marimekko is a big name in Finnish design – from clothes to soft furnishings and tableware – and there are now two stores in London, in Marylebone and Bethnal Green.

Also, keep an eye out for the Scandinavian Christmas fairs that are increasingly popular during the festive season. Although you probably don't want to think about that just yet.
